What an inspection can reveal
Most EIFS problems don't show up on the surface until they're already expensive. Here's what we're actually looking for.
Hairline cracks and impact damage break the water-resistive barrier, letting moisture behind the finish coat where it can sit for months unnoticed.
The surface can look fine while the sheathing underneath is saturated. We use moisture meters at known failure points to check what you can't see.
Missing kickout flashing, poor sealant joints, and incorrect terminations around windows and doors are the most common install defects we find.
Long-term moisture intrusion softens sheathing and framing. We flag soft spots and probe where readings suggest it's warranted.
